The TV show is amazing, but the books are even better.

I'm in Book 4 now, and I'm too cheap to buy Book 5 until it's out in paperback. Fantastic saga!

really good SNL this past Saturday and a nice send-off for Kristin Wig.  The finished the season with three pretty strong shows.  The Karaoke bit with everyone trying to impersonate Mick Jagger while the real Mick Jagger criticized them was really good.  Also "Lazy Sunday 2".

Luckily I just graduated and junk so I don't have to read crappy history books anymore. I just took my roommates second book. I decided I wasn't going to read the first book so hopefully this is a good choice.

I would recommend reading the first book first.

I feel kind of sad that I haven't kept up with House over the years now that it's ending.  Really great show from what I have seen of it.
I stopped watching House several years ago.  The formula consisted of "brilliant" doctors getting the diagnosis wrong, every week... 4 or 5 times per episode.. before the rude, insulting, unlikable Dr. House is inspired to figure it out.

The series finale was a nice, befitting sendoff.  It will make more sense if you watch the 2 preceding episodes, (which I did using Comcast On Demand.)

Repeats air during the certain days on the USA network.

"Charlie" seems like a crappy lead character.

It seems like a decent premise that won't be executed well, like all of the recent sci-fi shows on network television.

That reminds me! Is anyone gonna watch Charlie Sheen's new show "Anger Management"?

Do all actors that hide their accents upset you?

not necessarily, depends on the role.  I just didn't see why he had to hide it.

Cause he was a doctor from America?

Not that, that really played a huge role in the show... but if the writers wanted an American doctor... it was either drop the accent or cast someone else.

Leaving aside the demands of the role... he didn't "hide" his accent, he adopted an entirely new one, and did it very convincingly. Great craft.

Pretty funny, no?  Jason from "True Blood" sounds like a totally different dude too.

Right?

That was the one that shocked me. Thought he was a country guy... not an Australian.

You know there is nothing on when you've seen all the Law & Orders and Mrs. Eastwood and Company looks good next to everything else. Damn you, teevee.

Why can I no haz current seasons of Mad Men, The Killing, etc. on Netflix? It makes me haz a sad.

I would settle for Wife Swap right now.

This entire season has been that way. I dunno wtf they were thinking not resolving it in S1. I figured they at least had a plan, they didn't. This season has been godawful, stallfest. The only interesting stuff is Rosie's family, and it's been how many episodes since we really, really saw the mother? This whole show is in a tailspin, and it won't get a S3. I think the only reason they didn't reveal is to get a renewal, and then they didn't know what to do since they weren't expecting said renewal.
