The comics are so much better than the show, though the last episode was really good.

Bring in The Governor and it will be good again. Also 100 bazillion zombies will help.

I doubt they get to him.  Think about how long they've played out this past season.  I mean, they haven't even gotten to the prison yet.  Think about how long that's going to take.

I'm enjoying the show on its own merits.  I really liked the Watchmen movie, too.

That was pretty true to the source material.  Rorschach is the man!

You don't think that Randall was with the spoiler?

Maybe, but I can enjoy the show first on its own merits, and then if I choose, read the comics, and probably enjoy them too.  The reverse never seems to work, at least from what I've seen of people who read comics and then see on-screen adaptations of those comics.

Watchmen is a classic in my mind. They even removed the terrible ending of the comic.

Also, it included the most innovative opening credits sequence I can ever remember.

Alright, went back and rewatched the last four episodes and it seems like things are about to get really interesting.  Totally see what you're saying now, can't wait!

RE:Walking Dead

THe Governor has already been cast for season 3 and there are rumors that Michonne will be played by the black girl from True Blood

I was kind of pissed at how they were handling the source material, but midway through the second season things really started to come together.  The finale of this season has some serious potential.  I do think many movies fail to bring the graphic novels to life because of how unique the comic medium is and how difficult it is to transfer that to the big screen.

The first season was total garbage, especially the ending.  I'm home sick today so I'm watching the second season and have to agree.

RE: walking dead - no not tara she got so damn annoying by the end of her time on true blood .

the best part about tWD, is that according to the comics, some of the best characters haven't even been introduced yet.

one scenario i wanted to see play out was Randall take Daryl to his group and he finds Meryl - Michael Rooker - there ... would've been bad ass

I think that's the case, especially since the prison and Michonne were introduced, with bonus points for Michonne's pets looking spot on like the comics.

That's the first 8, there are more. I have been reading them on my phone with the ComiXology app.

Well, the first 8 is a good start - especially in 1 volume. Interesting that the Amazon preview shows the first few pages, and Rick/Shane reference the new prison one county over right in those first few panels.

Question for the viewers of Walking Dead - how far from "home" is Rick and his family? He started out in a hospital, presumably near his home, drove a while, took a horse to Atlanta, hooked up with T-dawg and crew, was reunited with his family in the campground. Drove for a while, again. ran into a traffic jam, Otis shot Carl, and took them to Herschel's farm.
