Going to see Star Trek with my Dad on Saturday. Should be good. Or awful, not sure which.

Me too! Catching the earliest 3D version I could Saturday morning.

Star Trek was very good.
Great to hear! I've been looking forward to this movie since 2009 and I've waited long enough  :mg:

You are the only people I know of who liked Prometheus, especially as anything more than a mindless entertainment sci-fi flick. Perhaps I should watch it...

I just clocked it, and it only took 97 minutes to read all my Prometheus posts in this thread. I'll concede they might have been terrible posts, but two hours?!?

Thank you, I'll be here all night! And don't forget to tip your waitress.

Star Trek

Spock is the man and Abrams makes sure you know it. Cast shows an even better rapport than the first one. Plus, RoboCop is in it.

I watched three movies tonight:

Beer League

This was just a movie I felt like watching and drinking to. It obviously wasn't great but I found myself laughing a good amount. I'd watch again but only for drinking purposes.

Seven Psychopaths

This was an awesome movie. The comedy was perfect and the action was right up there as well. Sam Rockwell and Woody Harrelson were brilliant. I'd recommend checking this movie out.

Lords of Dogtown

Decent movie. I've been wanting to watch this movie. I was a big skateboard fan (mainly playing Tony Hawk games and watching X Games - never skated much) when I was young. It was a cool start to see how skateboarding changed in a couple of years. The storytelling was weak in this movie but it was still cool to see it evolve.

Saw Star Trek in 3D last night at the Kingstowne cinema. Excellent. Ms1995hoo was so engrossed in it that at one point she suddenly yelled "hurry up!" at a character (I sharply elbowed her in response). Don't know whether anyone else heard her, but she was quite embarrassed afterwards. She said she totally forgot she was in a theater with all those other people (it wasn't nearly full).

If you tells his story again I would exchange the sharp elbow with a stern shushing.

I don't think Pixar did this one. Might be good, though.

Apparently people didn't like Carol Marcus's changing scene and thought it was gratuitous

Hangover 3 wasn't bad. Better than the 2nd, but not as good as the 1st.

Make sure to stick around after the credits roll. ;)
