Also 12 monkeys was indeed a very good movie.  But then I'm partial to Bruce Willis in general.

Whatever you think it's going to be about... it's probably not.

If you drop your expectations at the door, it's great.

Hahahah neutral!

I'm just saying yes. People can hate the Transformer movies all they want... I'm not basing his acting skills off that crap anyway. He was great in "Eagle Eye" and he was great in "The Greatest Game Ever Played"... freak even "Holes" was good.

... I like all three of those movies. I retract my prior statement.

Damn damn damn! Saw the trailer for it during Tosh.0 last night, god I cannot wait. Silent Hill 2!

I think the original is probably either my favorite or second favorite film, Event Horizon being the contender. Yeah, I worship the game series and that likely biases my view, but Silent Hill the movie kicked ass regardless. That they made a sequel blew my mind, and its been filmed for at least a year getting delayed. I don't know how they did make a sequel, since the original film wasn't exactly a success financially. Getting Sean Bean back = win. Even if the constant delay of the sequel doesn't show much confidence. I know where my ass is going to be next Friday.

watched apollo 18 on Showtime tonight, not as bad as I expected.

I'm not going to bother with spoilers, so if you have not seen it stop reading.

As I already made clear, space horror is my niche. Love it. But that film just sucked. It sucked only because of the immense potential. The lost Apollo mission, Blair Witch style? Are you kidding? How could they screw it up? But they did. Bugs/spiders, bleh. It was just stupid, didn't work. Huge let down.

Yeah, like i said it wasn't as bad as I expected, but it was still pretty bad.  Cinematography was pretty good - they painted a pretty realistic picture of the moon environment, but the storyline was pretty dumb, especially the ending.

Not sure why you would think it's a bad movie.  It's sitting very high on rotten tomatoes, well over 90%.

Argo was excellent, engrossing from start to finish.
End of Watch was also excellent.  Both worth seeing in theaters.

I'm not sure how you got that I thought it was a bad movie out of that

But I was mostly giving PA a hard time (reference to an argument we had a couple of years ago) and being a wiseass in response to Linty's statement.  2 birds 1 stone

Anyone watch the Paranormal Activity Movies?

I went and saw the fourth one this weekend. More of the same, which is good if you liked the first three. I happened to like them so I was glad we went and saw it. A couple new twists to the story and well done again I think. The shakey, hand held camera effect was a bit much for me as we had snuck a bottle of Sailor Jerry in the theater...but other than that I say it was well done.
