Just watched Invasion USA. It's horrible on all levels of film making, but it's hilarious and awesome.

Tony Scott, director of Top Gun and a ton of Denzel movies killed himself yesterday. Was 68.

Sad stuff.

i just thought it was a fun movie.  maybe great is exaggerating a bit too much, but i loved the concept, thought it was properly cast (i mean all young characters was neat) and it featured a lot of action.

Watched Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind again before the Nats game (it was on TV and caught myself watching it) it's a really good film. I think Jim Carrey and Kate Winslet have great chemistry in this movie. Jim Carrey was also amazing in this movie.

I read the book and thought the movie was okay.

Saw "the Pirates: Band of Misfits" today - very good movie for adults and kids alike, and it included a track by Flight of the Conchords.  Lots and lots of quick jokes, i will watch it again and expect to catch a lot that I missed the first time.

Though I think I would have been incredibly confused if I hadn't read the series. But for fans of the book it's a nice movie.

But this is coming from someone who went to watch Tinker Taylor Soldier Spy and came out completely confused after only picking up one or two of the character's names.

It was pretty clear to me but I'm sure the book(s) would add a lot more detail. The idea is nuts and crazy but it was still interesting and cool. Like the opening scene of the games was pretty crazy.

The idea is ripped off of the Japanese movie Battle Royale but I still liked the books and movie. The movie cuts out a lot of the lame teenie romance.

I thought the movie as a whole was just "good" but that opening scene at the games was incredible, glad someone else noticed how good that was.

Yeah it was a decent movie but that opening scene when they're all on the podiums waiting for the clock to count down. Then hell breaks loose around the weapons. Pretty crazy crap just seeing kids beat down on eachother.

I knew about the Battle Royale rip and people have said Battle Royale was more brutal and such.

URGENT URGENT URGENT

This is a real actual movie starring John Rhys-Davies:
"In NEVER SAY...NEVER MIND, the SWEDISH BIKINI TEAM find themselves in London at BUCKINGHAM PALACE receiving British Orders of Chivalry. But first, they must locate and destroy a copy of the infamous Los Alamos hard drive. Meanwhile, HELGA is missing in action in AMAZONIA and gets her Damehood in absentia. The other TEAM MEMBERS think that their next stop will be a leisurely yacht cruise and an appearance at the International Bikini Team Federation (IBTF) Open, where they will be judging the contest. Little do they know that intrigue, adventure, portable nuclear devices, a mutant yeast strain and danger in high places awaits."
