I might give Rock's version a chance.  I always thought "Walking Tall" was a solid flick, even if it didn't do so well at the box office.

The Rundown is still my favorite Rock movie. It's so underrated.

I agree with you on this. It might be in my list of top 20 movies if I ever constructed one. I've seen that movie so many times and I still enjoy it.

Captain Phillips was fantastic. The last 10 minutes or so are super intense.

Agree about the last 10 minutes.  But before that, I couldn't wait for the movie to get over.  It was so predictable and boring movie

A better trailer for the new RoboCop movie... still hate that he moves like a CGI character and that he's dressed in black.

Thor: The Dark World was pretty good.

Tom Hiddleston stole the show. So awesome as Loki.

Catching up on movies this week.  Loved moneyball. Ted was pretty funny but not as funny as I thought it would be
And to throw in something recent, saw catching fire tonight. Better than the first one but I'm still not a huge fan of the series.  Not as offensive as the first with kids killing kids.

"Last Vegas" was great - definitely a 10.  Funniest movie I've seen since Caddy Shack

Does this make you a 50/60 something?  My parents (59 and 61) said they loved it but I wouldn't get the humor.  Just curious, not hating.

I got the humor and found the movie somewhat depressing (not clinically).    I looked through the humor to the reality of it.   I guess that's where humor comes from  ...  real life things.    Maybe I simply picked the white out of the chicken crap.    :)    Never seen "Caddy Shack".

BTW   I'm north of your parents in age.

I watched a few movies this week:

Dredd

Pretty awesome action movie. I was pleasantly surprised by the action sequences and how the story progressed. I will definitely watch more in the future. I thought Karl Urban was pretty awesome as Dredd. The chick was pretty cool too.

Pacific Rim

This was a great action movie. It was pretty much everything I wanted. I am not against more movies like this.

World War Z

I enjoyed this movie. It definitely had some flaws here and there. I'm still confused at some of the zombie stunts but whatever. I still enjoyed the story. I really have to read the book, though.

Saw Pacific Rim on the flight back across the pond, liked it!
