i watched it with the kids, they were kind of struggling to get into it over the first hour, but they were glued to it from about that point forward.

Just watched "Lincoln" again on DVD.

I'm looking forward to seeing "42," although finding time in the next week or two will be difficult.

I just got back from seeing it. Good, but I would not suggest going to see it in Atlanta on the day it opens if you don't like people talking during the movie....

Sometimes the audience adds to the experience, like they did at The Avengers whenever Hulk would do something people would flip, it was awesome. Sometimes, not so much.

Wow.  That's right up there with "The Fish that Saved Pittsburgh"
I just saw a movie called "It Happens Every Spring" with Ray Milland about a college professor who is working on a compound to keep insects away from wood. By accident a baseball is dipped in his chemical formula and he discovers that the substance is repelled by wood so he poses as a pitcher and helps St Louis win the pennant.  :lmao:

just got back from seeing 42.

great. powerful, powerful movie. I was moved, and few movies do that for me.

but then again, I may have a slightly biased point of view.

I think Harrison Ford should be nominated for something for this movie.

i hear he was strong.  mixed reviews on the dude who played jackie (from what i've seen in the trailer, he looks the part and i like what i've seen from that).

seeing some of the old ballparks on the big screen will be fun.

I too thought 42 was very good.

That scene in the tunnel with Robinson and Rickey was pretty special.
