Nyjer Morgan has been benched in Milwaukee - he's only had 5 singles in 42 ABs this season (.119).  His OBP and SLG are also .119.

Hmmm, Morgan for Dykstra??

Aaron Crow 8 straight scoreless games for KC WHIP at 0.89 and 3.00ERA
Too bad they are 3-13 and have lost 11 in a row. God awful franchise with no hope, they may as well be the O's as their heralded prospects continue to perform poorly in the Majors.

? He got the HR as already noted, so what?

Except...  you didn't actually note that.

I'm as big a backer of Dunn's as they come, so don't take my two posts to be some attack on him. But he's a former player and noted for striking out, and right now he's doing so at a record not matched in baseball history, over a century worth. I think that's worthy of posting, myself. Likewise, if he's hit a HR in 10 consecutive games, I'd be posting it just as quickly.

Posting the progress of very contrived record two nights in a row makes you seem otherwise.  I believe that's what he's getting at.

Brad Eldred, former Nats AAA farmhand hit 2 more HRs tonight for a total of 11 on the season.  In addition, he has 33 RBIs

I remember him from spring training a few years back.  He turns 32 this summer - has he ever played a major league game?

Yeah, 85 of them according to BR, with Pittsburgh and Colorado as recently as 2010.  He hit 17 HR and 59 RBIs for Syracuse in 2009.

Omg... Poor, poor, poor Adam Dunn. Wtf man. So they give him a day off from starting, and he enters as a PH late in the game... A PH in the AL, mind you. I'd imagine he was inserted as a PH partially to stop the streak, and let him get it out of his head. So one single AB, to stop the consecutive games with a k, and what does he do? Strikes out, 17 games and counting. Damn, I really feel bad for him. Obviously being traded to AL and DHing was the worst thing that could have happened, because he is so much better than that. And before I get attacked, what else did he do? Nothing. He had one AB and he struck out. He's at least still .246, with four Hrs on the year, so it ain't all bad. But King in your teams first 17 consecutive games is not a record one wants. Particularly when they put you in as a PH in the 9th, all but guaranteed to stop the streak, and you K. Hopefully tomorrow ends it.

Good lord, the reason Dunn didn't start was because Tommy Milone did.

Lol, whatever. I never said he didn't start to stop the streak, simply that putting him in as a PH in the ninth might have been as much to stop the streak as to try and get a hit in a close game in the ninth inning. I have no clue where on earth you are getting this fantasy I hate Dunn or want him to fail. It's an interesting record that I know I, at the very least, am interested in. I'd be almost as interested if it were not a former Nat, but it is, and that makes it all the more so. But this delusion I hate Dunn? Lol, whatever, I'd like to see one post where I was glad Dun was gone, or didn't want then to sign him, resign him, and keep him here.
