Beyond the sizing issues, that is one ugly uniform, wonder how many of those they sold.

That's really too bad.  I know I joked about him calling him "Joey" but that guy is a really solid guy that's going to be a great manager some day.

It is taking a while because they asked him to write down his medical history.

I can imagine all the player's charts neatly in file cabinets with his sitting off to the side in a banker's box

I'd like to see him work his way back into the league, he could be a lot better Matt Stairs than Matt Stairs was last year.

Speaking of which, Rich Harden is out for 2012.

The Indians will sign infielder Cristian Guzman to a minor league contract with a spring training invite, tweets MLB.com's Jordan Bastian.  He took his physical today and the deal will likely become official tomorrow.

Guzman, 33, last played in the Majors in 2010 with the Nationals and Rangers.  He sat out the 2011 season due to family issues.  Guzman is a career .271/.307/.383 hitter who has appeared at both middle infield positions.

Bacsik is going to UT-Arlington down here in TX. Not sure what his plan is, but he's not pitching anymore.

According to the transaction section on BR, he was signed by Toronto on December 1st and then released by them on February 17th.  Maybe a failed physical?  Or maybe they weren't impressed by his bullpen session.

They probably expected him to not suck at pitching.

Boston has Lackey, so sucking isn't a problem

Yes, but he is out for the year and Dice-K isn't due back until the All Star break.  They need some back up stink in case Scott Atchison does not stink.

This is the kind of depth at stink big money can buy.

that's a tough lineup for anyone to face, even in spring training.
