The first four in Hagerstown lineup (Goodwin, Burns, Martinson and Skole) are killing it. All four have OBP's over .390.

Of course Martinson and Skole should be in Potomac... But they're all putting up monster seasons.

PLUS- Suns skipper Brian Daubach has been selected as a coach for the Northern Division! Tip of the cap to our skipper as well!

Karns promoted to Potomac.

Selik to Harrisburg.

Neither one had a good debut.

Christian Garcia promoted to AAA. No appearances as of yet.

Yeah, Karns and Selik immediately got whacked. Not a good sign.

TJ surgery last year.

I thought he got his Tommy John two years ago. So where is he now? I thought he pitched a little last year.

He's rehabbing from Tommy John surgery.

But why did he pitch last year if he is rehabbing from TJ now?

Because he blew out his arm last year. Not the year before?

According to this, he blew out his arm around the time Strasburg debuted 2 years ago. Wouldn't make sense that Strasburg got TJ later and returned much earlier than McGeary.

I don't know... you'd have to ask the team what happened to him.

McGeary's situation is odd.

He definitely pitched last year.

Maybe he's stuck in the super-top-secret XST?

I asked Byron Kerr where McGeary was, he said he is still in Extended spring training.

Bundy rocked again tonight. 3.2 IP 5 H 4 ER 2 BB 5 K. ERA up to 4.34. Funny how no one is talking about him any more as he has fallen back down to earth.

Bundy is really talented, and Frederick is a joke. I could probably hit 300 of of him there. I'd definitely swap Rendon for him.

Edit: Can you imagine if the Nats had Bundy, Giolito, and Meyer in the system, with the staff they already have? Scary.

From the BP article about an informal poll Goldstein took of scouts/GM types on what pitchers they'd like for a post season start (posted elsewhere)

Quote
T3. Dylan Bundy, Orioles (one vote)
The biggest surprise of the poll was a vote for a pitcher currently in A-ball, but both Bundy's stuff and minor league numbers have been the talk of the first half of the season. “We can agree that he's up next year, and maybe as soon as he clears the service time for super-two status,” explained an assistant GM. “In 2015, we're talking about a 22-year-old with two-and-a-half years of service time, and he could be pretty damn good.”

Just one

That might be a little fast IMO.  I guess it could happen, but end of 2013 seems more likely to me.

He's good but the people who were slobbering over him a few weeks ago because of giving up 0 runs in low A ball are complete idiots.

You know how that stuff goes.  People get excited too soon.  Let's hope that isn't happening with Harper.  I think it is happening with Trout.  He's going to be a great player, but he's not the superstar everyone thinks.

AAA Nationals (Syracuse) beats AAA Yankees (Scranton/Wilkes-Barre) 10-0 tonight.  Foreshadowing perhaps?

Any love for Potomac reliever Rob Wort?

30.2 IP 22 H 4 ER 8 BB 52 K (1.17 ERA, 4 saves, 15.26 K/9)

Those K numbers are absurd

SF - He's not too old for league level (23), but this is his 2d season at A+ (and portion of a 3d).  He's been > a K an inning at every stop except the GCL.  What has been his achilles is his BB rate at Potomac in 2010 (sss) and 2011.  It seems he has his BB rate way down.  Was wort ranked on any prospect tracker?  what does he throw?
