Agreed. Unless RZO hates Morse in the OF and sees him as our 1B of the future, Prince is a nice fit.

The Lerner family paid much less for the team than they would have with the broadcast rights included and at the time they said that they had no problem with the MASN deal having had their lawyers review the fine print, so I'd really be pissed if the deal was used by the team for their failure to invest in talent for the team.

Bryce Harper + RZ extension = our big offseason acquisitions.

The sad thing is I'd actually be pretty happy with that.  Oh the bar is so low :?

that's one way to look at it, another is they paid much less because they were buying what is effectively a small market team, and that's how they intend to run it.

i'm fine with him making the team out of ST, but it doesn't mean we shouldn't make moves. 

either move morse to 1B and get a CF, or have an OF of Morse-Werth-Harper and get a 1B

I mean, that probably does give us like a 7-win bump (unless Harper sets the world on fire after he settles in for a few months). The problem is a 7-win bump isn't enough of a bump. (That's SS+JZnn+RZn+LaRoche replacing Bernie/Gomes in the lineup.)
I'd be perfectly happy with Cespedes/Soler and a bench that can bat more than .210. But at this point I want Prince.

I'm Cole's biggest fan on here but yeah I would.  They would have to add more than that though.

Except Dunn has more power/walks more and their OPS's aren't comparable.

Trumbo is basically Jeff Francoeur with a bit more power and none of the defense.

#Angels have completed deal with CJ Wilson as well, an ewxec who talked to Angels this morning told me

Thank goodness he didn't go to Miami as well.  Let's hope the fish don't get Fielder now.  They are better with Reyes, Bell & Buehrle but if they were to get Fielder as well then that's just insane.

Rizzo was talking Cole up big on the radio yesterday, along with Michael Taylor. I don't see either one being moved in a deal. Just a hunch though.

and lol @ the nats leaking harper potentially starting the year with the big league club.  just a case of trying to goodwill the fan base after such a disappointing showing (if you can call it that) during the winter meetings.
