Jim Riggleman to manage Pensacola Blue Wahoos

Jim Riggleman will manage again next season, just not in the major leagues. In his first on-field position since he suddenly resigned as Nationals manager last June, Riggleman will return to the dugout in 2012 to manage the Pensacola Blue Wahoos, the Class AA affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds, a person close to the situation said.

You forgot the story later in the day where Riggleman quit because Pensacola refused to talk about giving him a raise.

Good for Jim.  He'll be managing a MLB squad in no time.  He totally freaked the team by quitting when he did but I still give him props for not being scared like the rest of us slaves-to-the-grind.

Ok I know you all hate him but I loved him for how nice he was to Julian when he was DFA'd so I am beyond psyched because the Blue Wahoos are my city's new baseball team!!

I wonder what Riggleman would do if he had a million dollars.

2 chicks!  That movie was so money.

Good for Riggles for landing a job.  Maybe we'll see him in MLB again in a couple of years.

Jim Riggleman's AA Blue Wahoos are 37-38 on the year so far.

They should really rename the team to the Yahoos. Riggleman forever the loser and quiter.

Here's to hoping he lands a job in the division and takes Eckstien with him.

That's about as high in organised ball as he can be expected to be getting managerial stints from here on in - after that hissy-fit he threw last season his MLB managing career is finished.

I'm glad for him, and I'm sure he'll have a fine time there. There have got to be plenty of Hooter's there.

I don't know about that.  Baseball is weird.
