If we actually help Boras break the draft :az:

if boras can get us appel, then i'd completely change my opinion of him

What exactly are the new rules on this?

10% over is one year's pick, 15 is two

Amanda Comak ‏@acomak

Mark Appel goes off the board to the #Pirates at No. 8, eight selections before he'd even get to the #nationals.

meh, now we are looking at a mid rotation college SP or defensive wizard but offensive zilch Deven Marrero.

Um what?

Jim Callis ‏@jimcallisBA

#Pirates grab Dahl at 8. Very athletic OF. In down year for #mlbdraft position players, we're seeing up-the-middle guys go quick.

Thx, yea this system is so stupid.  This is the system Bud Selig has been working tirelessly for the better part of 10 years to put in place.

That was before the selection.

#Pirates on Appel. Wow, didn't see that one at all. Hard not to grab that talent at 8 though. May eat up most of $6.6 mil budget. #mlbdraft

The more intriguing question is why appel fell so far?  I bet Boras is waving his behind-the-scenes middle finger at Selig.

They basically like Correa more. Apparently they were blown away on a private workout by his skills and makeup.

I'd be shocked if the Nats didn't take Stroman if he's there.
