The Elvish races seem a bit more other-worldly in appearance than in previous TES games, IMO:

Argonians got a pretty major facelift too:

ONLY 5 murders?

You can do better than that!

Would've been 7 but there's some invincible supernag in the Inn.

View of the town I thinned out from a nearby bandit's hideout + fog and snow:

Just a friendly tip - traps are actually deadly now, unlike in Oblivion.  Realized this after walking into a corridor with a spikey-looking gate and going "hey, that looks like a....! <dead>"

That screenshot was on the "High" preset and runs pretty well on my Radeon 5850 @ 1920x1080.  "Ultra" preset runs "well enough" but does bog down in places, especially large scenic outdoorsy areas.  Haven't decided yet whether or not the difference in appearance is worth the difference in performance, but on the other hand like most TES games combat is relatively slow-paced, so a little lag here and there isn't a game-killer.

lol yes.  You can murder an entire village, but the children are invincible.  They just say "you're a meanie, i hate you!" and run away :hammer:

Is that guy your guide or are you always  sneaking up on people and attacking them from behind?

:couch:

yes, you follow a guy for a while until you get the tutorial parts done, then you can go on your own or hire a mercenary to go with you.  Also, the one guy I wanted to get his elbow that I just bashed the hell out of with my war hammer and he was like "hey, watch it."  I'm like "nag, I just freaked yo crap up and that's all you say!?"

Oh, also, what ever you do, DO NOT KILL THE CHICKENS!!!!!!  If you do, it's game over.  And I'm serious.

Whatever.  I killed the chicken and then all the townspeople who naged about it ;)

Except for the invincible children of course :?

He recommended talking to his sister in Riverwood after the tutorial.  I ended up killing her instead (she was one of the mob who attacked me  )

Now I'm just looting some random nearby dungeon/crypt.  Hurray open world games :mg:

I've never been a fan of having AI NPCs "help".  They usually just get in the way.  Granted I haven't tried them in Skyrim yet.

Just don't go in the Inn, or knock her out temporarily and then run like hell.  But yeah, that's annoying...  definitely too many immortal NPC's so far for my liking.

The new setup for alchemy and smithing is pretty fun.

It's fun rotating the pictures on the loading screen.

Completed Bleak Falls, beat a dragon's ass. Word. Going to try to go out and not get distracted by quests. I want a good dungeon crawl.

So I was leaving the general store in the town I rampaged after selling off a bunch of loot from a dungeon, and outside is a "hired thug" telling me he's there to teach me a lesson.  He and his two buddies were a pretty tough fight, but I managed to put them down.  On the body of the head thug, I found this:

Funny (can you guess my character's name? ), but who is this "Dorthe"?

It's the invincible little girl :lmao:

What the hell? The little girl hired thugs to beat you, Trogdor the burninator, up? Is there even a point to the game or can you do whatever the hell you feel necessary?
