11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month.

It is so crazy that there were still attacks and soldiers dying right up to the moment even though the armistice had been agreed to. It's not like fighting on the edge of the front in Belgium was going to affect negotiations on final lines and border adjustments.  I remember Michael Palin doing a documentary on a British attach that morning and going to the gravesite of the soldiers who died as a result of that attack.

Wilfred Owen was killed a couple of days before the armistice.

The Tomb of the Unknown soldier isn't far from N. 11th ST and S. 11th ST in Arlington (almost equi-distant).          Something happenin' there.
