Quick search box in the new theme is back to using the forum search, so any searches done from there will automatically narrow the search to whatever part of the site you're currently on unless you specify otherwise via the full search option. I have also changed the search weights so that all search results are now returned in order from newest to oldest unless specified otherwise.
I'll return the classic theme quick search box to the forum search later today or tomorrow.
