ECAC top 4 advance to Atlantic City.
I honestly thought Yale had finally got on a roll when they switched goalies, put in a freshman O'Day in the top line, and moved O'Neill down to the 2d line to generate scoring, but having to go to OT 3 times in two weekends just wore them down too much. I thought they would have been very dangerous in the tournament and had hopes for winning the conference.
I think that if Union or Cornell wins the ECAC, then only 2 teams advance to the NCAAs.
A friend who is a die hard Harvard (and BU) hockey fan says that with all their ties this year (I think 10, plus two OTs last weekend), they were on the fringe of having a spectacular season with just a little more goal scoring.
