Great-grandson of Connie Marrero. No...but I told my daughter The Legend of Connie Marrero yesterday when Chris Marrero came to bat...Livo pitches like Connie, so the thought came to mind...

Sadly, Chris Marrero can't field all that well.

BUT, one of the sneaky joys of going to Nats Park is the lack of Debbi Taylor.

Which one? The Strasburg one?

No, the one where they make it look like you're part of the team.

Debbi's first job wasn't with the Nats?

Could have fooled me.

Debbi Taylor returns for her third season. Debbi came to MASN from Sun Sports/FSN, where she was a sideline reporter for the Orlando-based Regional Sports Network. She was also a sports anchor and reporter for the Fox and CBS affiliates in Orlando where she covered the Daytona 500 and Super Bowl

Debbi got her start in sports broadcasting from spending 6 years at the New England Sports Network (NESN) in Boston, where she hosted the morning show, as well as doing feature interviews and reporting for the Red Sox pre and post-game shows.

Debbi has won two local Emmys and a national Emmy for her trip to Cuba and "The Friendship Games." She was honored by Red Sox legend Ted Williams by being one of only two women included in the broadcast wing of the "Hitters Hall of Fame" (the other was longtime Red Sox owner Jean Yawkey).

Taylor is a native of Nashua, NH and grew up attending baseball games at Fenway Park with her four siblings.

Jayson Werth is an elegant CF. Another benefit of going to the game, at least to a day game and sitting at the 300 or 400 level, is to sight the ball and Werth. He owns the OF...one of the best CF I've ever seen in person.

So DT is a native-born Red Sox fan. Bosh. And she must be working toward a job with Boston. Bosh.

They've been playing Werth in center for a couple weeks. Seeing if he can play there for next year I guess.

And she's married to a Yankee.  I don't mind Debbi, my wife on the other hand...

I think Werth is the regular CF now. Davey did that yesterday, also. Werth is a superb CF. Amusing yesterday to watch Ankiel take a ball in RF with a runner near second. He didn't bother throwing to Espinosa, who was a few steps out as cutoff. Pegged it to Desmond no hop about halfway to third...

Captain Hook.

There's a reason the guy on the mound is a starter and the guy coming into the game is a reliever. And unless it's Clipp or Storen, it's going to be a downgrade.
