Great to see Meyer in the futures game. I see him at a 3-4 starter level pitcher in 2015. There might be only 1-2 others on the US roster at the same level as he (low A).
Hate to be the sour puss here, but we have a serious lack of international talent in the farm. Not a single rep on the Int Futures roster ... not only that, outside of E Perez (and maybe Smiley at one time), I can't think of a single international home grown MLB prospect anywhere in the orginzation at any time since moving to DC. I wonder what Rizzo's plan for developing the teams international presence will be over the next 5 years, because right now there doesn't seem to be one.
They signed a kid last year (?), Raudy Read a catcher... who's showing some pop in the DSL this year.
Although he's only hitting .212, he's tied for the league lead in HR's with 5... and he makes contact with only a 8.5% K%.
