ESPN reported that Japanese teams might be interested in having Sammy Sosa come over and play in Japan.  Some teams are willing to pay $500 million yen for him.

500 Million Yen= (roughly) 4.21976538 million U.S. dollars.

That would be a great place for Sammy.  He could start over there with a clean slate and make the Japanese Hall of Fame.  Sayanora Sosa!   :D

I say good riddance.  But you gotta know that he wants to play in the US, period.  Japan would be a disappointment for him.

I completely agree.  However, he wants to get to 600 HR, and possibly win America back so he can be voted into the HOF.

I always liked Sammy, he was great fun to watch. There was usually a small cluster of fans in the outfield seats area just behind him, in an otherwise barely populated Olympic Stadium, whenever he played in Montreal with the Cubs, I think he had a fun rapport with most fans.

OK he probably did steroids (like 100's of other guys we don't even know about) He'd be huge in Japan where hardly any MLB 'superstars' have ever played.
