Oh man, that freaking sucks. I don't think the Orioles announcers know yet.

Police were called to the area for "a person with a suspicious condition." When officers arrived at the scene, they found the man's body along a trail on the property, Armacost said.

Police declined to speak about the manner of death until the investigation is complete.

What does that mean?

Too bad but this still should go in the Out of Town Scoreboard.

Well, even if they moved it, it still shows up there to give the bad news.

Haven't heard a word on ESPN.  I wonder if they have not told Sutcliffe. they overlapped with the Os in 1992.

What does that mean?

Possibly showing signs of distress or being drunk.

Distress is easy to see if you've watched the other MASN broadcasts.  He looked weary.

I feel like an ass for moving it, but it does belong in this section.  And it does have the redirection topic in the Clubhouse.

I think Jim Hunter found out right before the bottom of the ninth. He wasn't excited at all about the win and you could hear him throw his mic down.

Jim Hunter was having trouble too.  Buck Showalter was tearing up as well.

From WBAL on Mike Flanagan:

Quote
Police did not immediately identify the cause of death, but sources confirmed that Flanagan took his own life "despondent over what he considered a false perception from a community he loved of his role in the Oriole's prolonged failure," Sandusky said.

If that's true, this is very strange.

So he felt the orioles' fans unjustifiably blamed him for the long term misery of their team and this led to his taking his own life!  That's pretty freaked up but I can't blame the fans for that.

This was on the Orioles Website.  They don't state how they think he died only that he died on his 10 acre (read from W.Post.com) property.  Such a shame.

He was one of the nicest guys you'd ever talke to!  Soooo Sad!   :'(  :'(  :'(

Wow, that's really bad.  A heart attack out jogging is one thing, but suicide over being blamed for Orioles suckitude?  If there's anyone to blame for that it's the guy at the top.
