freaking failure. The Nats won't win another game in this series. Middle of the order hitters choking like nages. Horrible and embarrassing.

So many blown chances tonight.

very fitting for jordan zimmermann to close out his home finale by pitching a gem but getting screwed by his turd offense.  #progress #lernersarecheap #rickecksteinsucks #hitterschokeinbigsituations #houstonnatsmellsfunny

Morse tried to sell the foul ball off the bat.  Worth a try, but only other teams ever get that call.
to my eye, that was off the back of the hand and then the bat.  But those are my eyes and not the ump's.

I can't get mad at Zim and Morse.

99% of the times they get in scoring position with less than 2 outs, the black hole of our lineup(in other words, everyone before and after Zim and Morse lol) fails to bring them in.  They'd bound to fail sometimes.

gotta love strikeout looking with bases loaded

Exactly.   Never understood "[player] disagrees with the call."

If it's that close with two strikes ... SWING!

It did hit his hand according to the slow-mo replay.  We got screwed.

Yeah. That hit him. Hard to expect the ump to see that glancing graze.

It may have hit the hand as well, but the ball path changed as it hit is bicep.

One thing is sure, it didn't hit the bat.

That's his job.  The ump could have asked for help.

That's bullcrap that the ump wouldn't confer with anyone else to at least discuss it. What an assclown.

yup.  i take exception to the called 3rd strike to zimmerman though.  jordan zimmermann's first "walk" of the game came on a strikeout pitch that looked just like that.  of course the ump called it a ball.
