Creeping back towards .500.

I'll be okay with them not getting there if they use September on productive call-ups.

WEAK-ASS GAMEDAY THREAD nagES.  BIG WIN TONIGHT AND YOU CHOADS DROPPED THE BALL.  STEP UP TOMORROW NIGHT.

:whip:

It mitlen's fault.

I'm gonna have to bail out early tonight (night shift at midnight).    I'd like to see a curly W and I expect you guys and girls to give me good reading when I log on around 1 AM.

Weak reading mitlen but at least we got the :w:

Um, that picture isn't displaying properly, but I think I'd kind of like to see it.   ;)

I'm guessing that the cheers are because the fan who caught the HR ball threw it back onto the field.
And I'm guessing the boos are because security came to eject the fan or at least talk to him.
Anyone at the game to confirm?

Security led him out but a short while later he was back at his seat.  After the game he was posing for pictures next to a bulls eye sign.  So it all worked out.

My friend and I went but we don't count in the attendance figures since the tix were free :)  won them by calling into the weekly Nats Insider radio show a couple weekends ago.  They were good seats too, behind the Nats dugout.

The Nats have the 7th best record in the NL (out of 16 teams) only behind Philly, Atlanta, Milwaukee, St. Louis, Arizona, and San Francisco. wow

And if the owners weren't misers who want to sink all their eggs in the basket of health of one ace pitcher, they'd be a force in 2012.

Those are basically all the "good" teams.  So we're the best of the worst?

if you look at our home record, we're much better than "best of the worst".  We're 4th in the NL, behind the Brewers, Phillies and Braves and 7th overall.  The AL teams with better home records than us are the Rangers, Yankees and Red Sox,

The six teams with better home records than us are the six teams most likely to make the playoffs.  FYI, the 6th best home record is the Red Sox's and they're just a game ahead of us.

This win was almost boring - which is a nice change, actually.
