detwiler looks freakin awesomse.

he's faced some pretty good line-ups this year (cubs, reds, dbacks, rockies, etc).

Random question..

I just got back from Pittsburgh and got to see a game at PNC. Awesome ballpark. Sad to say I've never been to a Nats game in person (besides Camden), how would you rank the overall experience against other ballparks? How close is the park to the water/is it in a safe area/etc?

Anything is appreciated.

Wow MLB Gameday had Detwiler hitting 97 on that AB vs. Blanco, can anyone watching on TV confirm or deny? I've never seen him top 95.

Tony Tarasco is our OF instructor?

I wonder if he gives our players tips on catching fly balls before they get intercepted by some snot-nosed little opposing fan.

The waterfront near Nats Park should be dismissed as an attraction. It isn't one. Park where others park and its perfectly safe. There isn't a lot to do around the park - yet. That's probably still a few years away. It's not as pretty as Camden Yards is, but it's a better park at which to watch a game (you can see the field from the concourses, I think the seating is better angled, etc. I walk around a lot because I can, and I can still see the game. Food is typical ballpark food. The much vaunted view of the Capitol is disappearing, and was never that good anyway.

Come for the baseball. :)

Bixler has a really nice swing. Wouldn't surprise me at all if he has a .300 season for another team in the future.

MASN said the highest was 96.  I've seen him hit 96 a few times, but never 97.

Scratch that.  Just got on.

So my game got rained out - hasn't rained since yesterday afternoon, the sun was out all day and I went to the field to find it completely dry.  I smell a conspiracy.

Please don't make this a close game for literally the 100th time this season.
