We couldn't do better than that?

Nationals prospects aren't valued as highly as Phillies prospects, by default.

freak prospects.  Give them major league ready players like Ankiel, Nix, Hairston and Cora.  And Rodriguez.  And Marquis.  And Wang.  And Gorzelanny.  Then throw in Peacock.

That's a nice haul for Houston.

The Phillies got one of the best outfielders in the game.

I don't think Gee pitched that well.

The Phillies got one of the best outfielders in the game.

This is the part where I come in and say that Pence is 23rd among outfielders in WAR and you say that WAR sucks.

WAR doesn't suck (and in fact works better for position players than pitchers) and I'm stunned he's that low.

And where do our outfielders rank?  23rd makes him a bonafide starter on nearly every team.

It's a distant memory but I seem to recall us doing that once or twice.

For an 8-3 game, this is going pretty quickly.

I like Jimmy Rollins, Roy Oswalt and Roy Halladay.  The rest of them can freak themselves.
