next september may be crazy with Milone, Peackock, Solis, Detwiler and Purke all possibly vying for rotation spots

...which is why signing pitchers to multiyear deals is something I'm slightly queasy about. Would we really want to be offering C.J. Wilson on the trade market in 12 months with an albatross contract?

it's the debate of proven pitcher vs. potential prospect.

Having useful lefties is definitely a good thing.  Solis, Milone, Purke, Ray definitely help a weakness in the mlb roster.  Really aside from Gorzelanny, there really isn't someone there to keep long term.   Also with guys like: Cole, Peacock and Meyer a steady pipeline of arms is coming down on the right side as well.

Really starting to enjoy the depth that is slowly being built.

Keep an eye on Estevez as well.

Once he gets some weight on him, I think he'll end up an MLB caliber arm.

Norris and Harper starting in tonight's All-Star game that begins at 8 p.m. on MLB Network.

Hultzen vs. Cole is the pitching match-up.

Norris didn't use to do that really slow target thing.

Must be something he's learned to help with his catching.

Yikes.

Lake looks like he'll be too tall for SS. Maybe a 3B in the future.

Stuffwise i can see how this guy has been compared to strasburg, but strasburg's control and command is light years better.

He's getting knocked around here.

I do like his change up, though.
