Nyjer Morgan just flipped off the fans in center field. That might cost him some money, maybe even a game or two.

His ongoing video game numbers are making me really resent what a useless piece of crap he was for us :?

I didn't realize he was doing so well. Don't follow other teams much.

Damn, beat me to it. Was coming here to post about it... Anyway, from ESPN's recap:

Quote
Milwaukee outfielder Nyjer Morgan spiced things up after making a catch against the wall in left-center field that robbed Nate Scheirholtz of extra bases in the seventh. Morgan exchanged words with fans in the bleachers, pointed at some and crossed his hands in a taunting gesture.
That only riled up the fans at AT&T Park more, in the bleachers and beyond. Morgan continued bobbing his head and pointing at the crowd, and he was booed relentlessly by fans walking into the dugout after the final out.

What a disgusting and immature piece of trash. He's learned nothing, nada, zip over the past couple of years. He's an idiot. Thank god we got rid of that bum. My god, taunting the fans AGAIN? Players are bad enough, but to freak with the fans. Again. Damn what an idiot. Absolute idiot.

He saw a Coladar look a like in the stands. Being that he isn't the brightest bulb, he couldn't tell the difference.

Built on an unsustainable BABIP, but also the fact that Roenecke is strictly platooning him.  Something we should have done as well.

20 points higher than his career total?  .310 / .340 would still be awesome and amazing compared to the crap we got.  Didn't know he was being platooned but even that doesn't explain his .470 slugging.

Nyjer 2010 vs RHP = .273 / .333 / .337 / .669

Nyjer 2011 vs RHP = .339 / .369 / .488 / .857

Difference ======= .066 / .036 / .151 / .188

I just don't think "unsustainable BABIP" explains that away.

He was great here for several weeks in 2009, too.  We've already seen what Nyjer the player can do.  He plays a decent CF but will make mistakes out there like not hitting the cutoff guy.  Nyjer at the plate is good too but he makes tons of outs on the basepaths.  But overall, Nyjer the baseball player was fine.

It's Nyjer the person (Tony Plush) that I think the team got fed up with - the glove slamming, running into catchers, etc.

He most certainly was not "fine" for us.  And he's been doing what he's doing for over half a season with the Brewers with no signs of slowing.  Nobody cares about "the person" when "the player" has an .850 OPS in the leadoff spot.  Sure maybe Rizzo gives him a longer leash if he didn't have all the personality issues, but he was still let go primarily for his play, not his issues.

Well said...he was good when he came over via trade but that wasn't a whole year or anything.

Just to be clear, I don't necessarily think he'll keep this pace or even close to it really, I just get annoyed when crap players suddenly figure it out after they leave here :P

I laugh everytime someone says "flipping the eurobird". Granted if that headcase was still here I would not be laughing.

Morgan is flipping off fans, sorta.
