Why was Guillen swinging with three balls and no strikes?

That should be a fineable offense.

My God...we are making Wandy Rodriguez look like Johann Santana.  This is sad.

When your pitcher has pitched as well as Patterson has (and he's approaching 100 pitches), it is the absolute height of selfishness to swing at a 3-0 pitch!

Just once...one time in my lifetime...I would like to have an EASY game to watch...like 7-1 Nats going into the 8th.  Would that be possible?  :)

If the Nats hitters were more patient in the last inning, Rodriguez would have been taken out then...

Nick and Vinnie back for the Atlanta series.

Fasten your seatbelts. Nats will have (fingers crossed, spit in the ocean, knock on wood) the projected lineup (Plus Wilson) intact.

Still not gonna be the '27 Yankees but gotta be better than last couple of weeks.

It make sense to be certain those guys are available then. The most important series of the season.  It's worth the slump if we can sweep.

I swear if the life of their infant child depended on it...they wouldn't be able to score with runners in scoring position.
