PREDICTION: By the end of the day next Sunday, the Nationals will have TWO new pitchers and ONE new hitter on the roster... (not including anyone on the DL or on rehab assignment)

The worst thing about Guzman's double plays.  It means we start so many innings with the pitcher batting first!

I'm waiting for Mar to come back with the number of "grounded into double plays" he's had so far this year.   :?:

I checked.  It's says 10 but I don't know if that includes todays.  So it's either 10 or 11.

Something is brewing... There are too many scouts at RFK to be a coincidence. Scouts form the Mariners, Devil Rays, Pirates and who knows which other teams... Also, my trade itch is acting up again...

I'm surprised it isn't worse than that...11 seems low.  Course when you are as bad as he is...everything seems worse.

It does seem a little low.  He seems to hit one every game.

yes, go to MLB.com and read them for everybody

I know they keep track but I've looked before but couldn't find it.  Could you find it and post how many he's had?  I'd love to know the number.

GEEZ! Do I have to do everything?

Guzman has hit into 10 (11 counting today's) , tying him for 18th worst.

However, the worst is Sean casey at 23 and worse than Guzman are:
pedro Feliiz, Derek Bell, Brian Giles, Jeff kent, Neffi Perez, Grudzielanek, Overbay, Carlos delgado and many others.

Unfortunately, Vinnie Castilla is also worse than Guzman with 12.

If you checked the Nats site, the stats never include the game in progress

To really get the full stench of Guz's double play damage, we'd also have to look at the number of at bats.

Simple solution: if there's a man on 1st, "Double Play" Guzman can be ordered to deliberately strike out.  He'd be ordered to swing nowhere near the ball.  Better yet, miss 3 bunt attempts - maybe we could get a steal with the infield in.
