Has WNFF ever been in such unanimous agreement about one thing?

Phil Wood and Mike Wallace are utterly awful on TV and extremely hard to watch. Way too many "Uh" moments. These guys would be laughed off the air in Arkansas, so how in the heck are they making it in DC?

I watched it this past Saturday for the first time  ... while waiting for the PGA to start.
I will admit Phil and Mike are not exactly the most exciting guys in the world to watch.
Sort of like what Kiner's Korner was when I was a kid:

But they had a few interesting things to say, and they do take phone-in and e-mailed questions.

My question or idea is -they have a video screen there in the studio (with a curly W) why don't they ever show video?

Ugh...I haven't watched this show since the end of last season, and it hasn't gotten any better.  In fact, it's gotten worse for me because I upgraded to HDTV...yikes!  I hope it gets better (i.e., new hosts, video highlights, etc.) during the season.

It's really a total waste of air time.

Watching it myself.   Getting prepped for C and D around 1 PM.   Phil Wood can hijack a Nats' discussion better than some of us hijack threads.   He never misses an opportunity to change the subject from the Nats to anything else.

Some people just shouldn't appear in HD.   Phil Wood is one and Anita Brinkman on 9News is another.

Yeah a totally different show is pretty much the only cure.  It's kind of embarrassing.

It's awful. A truly pathetic production. It will not be watched, but likely used as another example by MASN and others to show that nobody is interested in watching or listening to anything about the NATS.

Since MASN is so big on radio show simulcasts as opposed to spending money on actual TV programming, they may as well simulcast Charlie and Dave's pre-game interviews and analysis. Far more interesting and professional.

Some interviews, highlights, special segments, etc. would definitely help.

Right after this excuse for a show, the Orioles version ("Wall to Wall Baseball") airs, using the same awful set.  I wonder if anyone watches that show either.  At least their hosts aren't 150 years old...

This is a radio call in show that happens to have a TV camera in the studio.

That show reminds me of the Shweady balls skit from SNL.  I still watch it when it's on though.  Ha.

A flaming turd can be funny.  You put some turd in a bag, you light it, and then hope someone tries to stomp it out.  That is humorous.  This show isn't even a flaming turd.

True, it's a bad sign when the hosts look like they'd prefer a prostate exam over being on the air.

Just in case anyone hasn't tuned in lately, don't worry.  This show is still awful.

So.. call into the show... make it better; it's OUR show.
Mention WNFF and tell people not to worry when PC calls "Game" and sportsfan says someone stinks.

God I hope the Nats get the all-star game, but I agree with Phil, I hope they host a playoff game first.

Actually, I am really glad to see people calling in and there are some good discussions today. The show is a great concept, and I am glad that there is a show dedicated to the Nats, and I think it could be a lot better if they build a new set, integrate some interviews and other features, etc.

Nats Talk will lead into our pre-game show at 12:30, it looks the Orioles' show (Wall to Wall Baseball) is getting pre-empted today.  :lmao:

I don't care what the set looks like.  If they want to raise interest/ratings, they should add Kristina Akra, to keep the focus on the current team, and less on Washington baseball history from 40-60 years ago.

But then they'd have to monitor the call-in's and edit them for lewd remarks, (in case Joe Namath calls in.)
