Disgusting that a show about the Nats  comes from Baltimore.

But given the circumstances, not watching is the point.

The point is this is another reason to get the hell away from MASN and Angelos.

Mike, Mike, Mike   ....   the teams you mentioned are all in the same city.    DC ain't Baltimore.   However, it would be interesting to have the Nats' and Oreos play at home the same weekend.

Every week, this whole damn family calls in.    Each of 'em has a 2 minute dissertation.

"Ooops, sorry.    We seemed to get disconnected.    Maybe next week we can talk to Susan, Ray, Fred, Sally, Bonnie Lou  ...."

It's very rare when that happens but it will happen in late July.

His reasoning? Not that I agree, but I am interested to hear.

He says you can't have 2 average fielders (Trea and Murphy) on the field at the same time.

I hate that argument. Yeah, an elite short stop may make a subpar second baseman easier to live with like a top CF makes it easier to handle a subpar glove in the corner OF, but it doesn't actually make that other player better. Turner isn't great defensively and I think eventually he's at second base, but for now his bat makes up for his glove. Rendon is a very solid defensive third baseman and Zimmerman is the type of glove you usually don't see at first base. The Nats can figure it out. If Espinosa sticks around he is a very good defensive replacement in the late innings.

Pure bullcrap.

For the number of exceptional plays Espinosa may make, I'll take a .300 hitter with exceptional speed and an average glove.

Espinosa went into the office after last night's game and slid this on the desk as a reminder.

And the number of exceptional plays is exaggerated. I don't know that I've ever seen anything like this with any other player, especially not one of Espinosa's caliber (maybe Brunnell and Gibbs) :?.

Some here referred to him as a gold glove shortstop back in week one...
