By the way, as a Mariners fan (on top of my Nats fandom) I can say that Michael Morse's sudden emergence this year is one of the funniest and least expected developments imaginable.  I dunno if most Nats fans are aware, but he got dinged for steroids a couple of times during his minor league career (although to be fair, he -- quite plausibly, actually -- contends that two of his suspensions were for the same single violation).  So I have to say that I consider his recent power surge to be...well, suspicious.

But I'm not about to investigate too carefully!

Speaking of "fat", Scoscia looks like he should be in a tank at Seaworld.

I'm sure some of the MLB folks have already connected those dots... I very much doubt he hasn't been tested multiple times over the last calendar year.

Sweet Jesus Lannan sucks.

Again, I don't get the attachment to Stairs.  There a hundreds of available free agents who can give this team what Stairs does.  It makes no sense.

Maybe he's having an affair with Mark Lerner.

if I could disagree with the boss here, for just one minute....I thought that commercial was stupid. Okay. That is the last time you will get any disagreement from me, sir.

Yeah, but my attitude is that the ability to come up with new PEDs (or mask them) is generally going to outpace MLB's limp testing regimen.  Science and all that...you know.

But whatever.

NICE DOUBLE PLAY, LANNAN!

It's historic, I think -- Stairs is pretty much the greatest pinch hitter in modern baseball history, that's been his role on a number of teams for years now.  Maybe this is the year he falls off a cliff, but Johnson/Rizzo/et al. want to give him a certain amount of ABs before making that call.
