I love these calls to sports talk radio
« Topic Start: June 27, 2011, 01:38:47 PM »
these calls are the best...just heard on wfan:

caller: Hey Mike, what can we do with Pelfrey, he stinks and we need to trade him.

host: trade him to which team?

caller: I dont know but there has to be a team out there that would take him.

host: wait a minute, you just said he stinks and you don't want him on your team, which is a .500 team at best. But you think someone else wants him? How does that happen?

*silence* then caller hangs up.
LOL

by the way, something else Francesa just said...and I realize some people think Francesa is a blowhard, windbag...but I think alot of that is from NY fans because Francesa is not afraid to rip NY teams. Anyway he said this about the Nats.

And the nationals have a lot of resources, who is to say they won't be in the mix for Jose Reyes? Who thought they would sign Werth? We're talking about a team with Werth, Strasburg coming back, Harper, Zimmerman at 3B.....this team is going to be a 'real pain in the neck'.

People that call into shows like that are morons. I remember when someone called a show around here once and suggested the Redskins trade Lavar Arrington for Peyton Manning.  :lmao:

my favorite call ever came from 610 WIP sports talk in philly. it was 1993 a few days after mitch williams gave up the HR to joe carter and he was always real wild. mitch's house in south jersey was bombed with tomatoes and eggs and stuff like that. they caught the kids who did it.

but anyway this caller says to the host...hey you guys are reporting wrong information. kids didnt plaster mitch's house. mitch did it himself. he was trying to hit his neighbor's house.

and I do agree with this..with very few exceptions...I think the true diehard, smart, sports fans do not call in to be on the radio.
