Move the Dodgers to NY; eliminate the Mets. Maybe something more serious: eliminate the cities that just don't belong in MLB. Miami? Denver? Who else?

Cut the extra round of playoffs. Three rounds is bad...four rounds is impossible.

Finally, eliminate the DH. It pains me to see minor league players "playing" DH.  Make the pitcher a ballplayer.

Oakland seems like a bad place for an MLB team.

Good point, I'd move Oakland before I'd move Colorado. If contraction were on the table, I'd contract the Marlins, relocate the Rays, and contract someone like Oakland... then reconfigure into two divisions of 14, eliminating the interleague every day problem (which isn't actually a problem).

Of course, more realistically, I'd like to see the Astros moved to the AL West, two leagues of 15, interleague play every day (I love interleague play, don't see why others don't), and either get rid of the DH in the AL or keep it the way it is.

Screw all the realignment BS.  Just go with:

No divisions

Top 4 teams make playoffs.

Balanced schedule.

Three Interleague series, home & home vs your rival-O's vs Nats, Mets-Yankees, etc and one vs other team.  So you will play a team in other league once every 13 or 15 years.  This solves the jerks who don't like interleague play, even if it's almost 15 years old.

Then use the VISITING team's rules during game.  NL rules at AL park, AL rules at NL parks.

I like your idea, except I would go with 5 or 6 interleague series still. Interleague play is fun IMO

I would love to see the Miami Marlins, their name when they move into their new stadium, move to the AL, so that the Back to the Future 2 scene, will be correct, Cubs beat Miami to win 2015 WS!!!!

:lmao:

Although that won't be possible in 2015 because Stephen Strasburg will out-duel Matt Moore to give the Nationals 7-game win over the Rays in the World Series.

No, in 2015 we'll contend in 2017.
