After watching Marquis go through that, who wants to bet the offense, comes out this inning, and goes down 1-2-3?
  Good guess!

Shockingly, they when the game is most in doubt and some runs are most needed, the offense goes down 1-2-3.

Behind home ... almost over a right hand hitter.   She's a bullcraptin' fool.    Ed called her out early on as a looker.    She has a print dress on.

The elusive triple switch, Nix for Stairs for defensive purposes.

Yes, in a one-run game, with this bullpen, he takes Laynce Nix out of the game and replaces him with Rick Ankiel.

Good job, Riggleman!

Aspiring managers looking to consistently underperform their Pythagorean, please take notes.

Did a quick WAR comparison, we should have ~29.14 wins (I couldn't find team fielding runs, had to use UZR). So both ways, Riggs is hurting us.

and I also am sick of losing Nix's bat for defensive purposes. We arent  putting Cesar Geronimo in CF.

in this instance, it was done to let clippard pitch 2 innings, but we coulda done it for ramos or something.

To be fair, Nix is pretty damn bad defensively and Petco is huge... but Ankiel just sucks.

What's a replacement team supposed to win? 46 games? So 29 to that would make the Nats a 75 win team.

Sounds about right.
