He hasn't been hitting at all. I'll take Hague's bat over his. Wish Skole got the call up to Potomac too.

He's only 4/28 with 11 K's so far.

I assume based off of draft position, they'll either move Walters to a new position or to the bench to accommodate Hague.

Walters to 3B, Hague at SS and Bloxom back to 1B is my guess.

Hague got his first start of the year at SS (with Walters sliding over to 3B and Bloxom to 1B) and picked right where he left off last year going 2 for 3 with a 2B, a walk, and a RBI.  The P-Nats announcer said that his arm looked fine and his throws to first were crisp, but he did pick up a fielding error.  That would be his 23rd error at SS in 43 games at the position for his minor league career.

Didn't see a thread for Rick Hague but he's been red hot lately in Potomac after a slow start.

Last 10 games: 17/41 (.415/.467/.707) with 5 Doubles, 2 Triples, 1 HR, 8 RBIs, 6 SBs, 0 CS.

Seems more like a "we need to make room for Trea" kind of deal. Glad Hague is at the highest minor level, but therrs a lot of work needed to take that next step.

It looks like they are promoting some underachievers out of Harrisburg to AAA. Kevin Keyes got bumped up, too.  I wonder if they are cleaning out the Burriss-type AAAA veterans and going with younger, cheaper versions at Syracuse.

Released March 26, 2016.

His wife is an aspiring country singer.  I think she is breaking now, so maybe he's working with her.  Here is an article from last year on them:

I'll leave this unlocked a bit if there are more comments.

One of the first Nationals I ever went out and hunted down his autographed rookie card. Too bad he didn't make it to the show. Good luck to him!

Aww. One of my Rice guys. Never met him there, but he was fun to watch in the field, best of all his pre-inning defense warmup where he'd do a basketball-style vertical leap just to get his energy ready for playing SS.

Good player, like so many who are blocked or don't quite have it. Good luck to him. Caleb Ramsay, now with Syracuse, is similar.  Oh well, they'll look back on their years of pro ball with fondness, no doubt.
