He seemed to have a pretty good presence behind the plate at the game yesterday. I like the guy, don't know if he'll be a big time player, but I do like him.

(CHIEF: I MIXED UP THE E AND I IN LAST NAME IN TITLE. CAN YOU FIX?)
Fixed, but you do know you can edit your own titles, right?

Wow, I'm an idiot. Thanks.

Freitas has an RBI double today (scoring Harper, who walked)

.353 over his last ten with an OPS of 1.035

I'm starting to get real nervous for Norris and Ramos. Freitas to me is up there with those two. Check out this line. 204AB, .314BA, .424OBP, .510SLG, .934OPS, 8HR, 45RBI, 36BB, 29SO. He's going to be a star. Now the ? is will he be a star for us or somebody else.

He looks great.

Haven't really looked at anyone on Hagerstown's offense other than Harper. Been so focued on their pitching.

I hope he's promoted to Potomac after the All-Star game. I can see some big promotions after the minor-league all-star games.

Kid is legit.

I wonder. With all the talent we have in the minors, can Freitas crack the top 10 next year. I think him being a catcher should automatically put him in our top 10. Man! Our system has come a long way since Rizzo took over.

Nah.

He'd have to jump the following guys.

Cole
Estevez (Possibly)
Goodwin
Hague
Harper
Hood
Lombardozzi
Meyer
Norris
Peacock
Perez
Purke (Possibly)
Ray
Rendon
Solis

I'd definitely put him in the discussion for Top 20, though.

Harper,Cole,Ray,Rendon,Hood,Norris,Peacock,Solis,Purke,Meyer. Okay maybe he won't make the top 10, but I can see the top 15. And who the hell is Estevez?

Yeah one area where Rizzo definitely has done well has been the farm.  Honestly, that should have been done under Bowden and wasn't.  We drafted terribly and had stopgaps at the ML level.  Just terrible.

Linty that was a nice list - I think Hague will have fallen off most lists, though.  He just hasn't been healthy enough to show anything.

Amazingly, Hood, Meyers, Milone, Lannan, Zimmermann, Zimmerman, Peacock, Norris, Lombardozzi, Perez, Bernadina, Desmond, Espinosa and Kimball were all picked during Bowden's tenure.

False - Desmond and Bernadina were Expos.

Jim Bowden didn't draft them? My mistake.
