It may be the angle, but does he really show the ball behind his back in his delivery?  That used to tip pitches for Brett Cecil when he came up.

Yes, JCA he does. To quote myself...

Quote
Already can tell why Jordan throws 96 but isn't dominant. He shows the ball a ton in his windup.

The hitter can see the ball from almost the get-go.

So 92-94mph fastball, sinker, very good control, 23 years old and at Potomac. Could be something to work with there. Will hope the progress continues and he gets to Harrisburg around the ASB for the second half of the year.

Promoted to AA. According to Kilgore/Comak Nats people rave about him.

I worry about his deception... but if he gets the results with that kind of stuff, he'll be on the fast track.

He's got to be on an innings limit, he'll probably pitch ~80-100 more innings at AA? Maybe have a shot at AAA rotation next year if all goes well.

Quick scouting report on him for those that have seen him?  I've yet to catch him in person.

Luke over at nationalsprospects.com (which is a very nice site) had this to say about him:

Taylor Jordan – This is the first full season after having had TJ surgery in 2011 and as such there are expectations that he should pick up where he left off. He has. The velocity seems as good as it ever was, likewise for command and control. Appears to have shelved the curve in favor of the change, but that’s an observation, not a criticism

As far as velocity, I believe Jordan sits in the 92-94 range comfortably.

Yeah. 2:30 according to the box score.  Dibble called in to say he should have returned to the mound. :)
