I like FP more and more every day, but my corresponding reaction is to dislike Bob more and more every day.

Wally Moon beat the hell out of the screen in left at the Coliseum.    Then again, maybe it was Pirates' pitching.

"How do you play an exhibition game on May 7?"

Huh!?

Teams play exhibitions during the season all the time.

The Mets and Yankees played the Mayor's Trophy Game during the season for years.

My guess is that Stairs goes when Ankiel comes back and Bernadina stays up.

My kid noticed that FP likes to set up the hypothetical, then answer it.

"You're a hitter/pitcher/catcher looking at a fastball/breaking ball/slider and what do you do? You swing/sit on it/give him a low target and see what good/bad/great things happen."

I like FP more and more every day, but my corresponding reaction is to dislike Bob more and more every day.

That would be great, but I don't see how you play both Bernadina and Ankiel every day.

And the Coliseum is not really a "football stadium" in the sense that Florida's is.
The Coliseum is an oval with a quarter-mile running track.

The foul lines were angled against the oval, not sqaure.

When did PC get an avatar?
...His avatar absence has been preventing the Nationals from going to the playoffs for years.

The Nationals are going to the playoffs... THIS YEAR!!!!

The club has said they really want Bernadina to play every day.  Unless there's another injury, I think he goes down when Ankiel gets back.  Otherwise, he's just riding the bench and we don't want him hanging around Stairs too much and forgetting how to hit.

Ah...how few of us remember Wally Moon? Or that weird baseball setup in LA? The 600 foot right field and the 200 foot left?

(for those too young, the Dodgers moved to LA without having a stadium. They "converted" the LA Coliseum to baseball by standing home plate roughj;ly on the football sideline, and playing with RF down to the football end-zone seats. That meant left was the distance from the sideline to the seats. Dodgers team saw the stadium, and someone said to Duke Snyder (left-handed power-hitting star CF) "They just took your baseball, Duke".

But Ankiel doesn't have to play everyday.

"Deep to center... heading for the wall... "

and it's caught three feet on the grass.

Nice, Bob.

Ever watch Futurama?  There's an episode where Leela joins the New New York Mets as the first female blurnsball player in history.

Mulligan drives the ball. It's going, going and caught by the shortstop. Mets lose again. Man, I haven't seen play this bad since the days of Bob Uecker! This is Bob Uecker, saying thanks for watching!

True.  I don't know if the club feels that way - he's been decent this year and his arm is a real weapon.  It's a tough call.

If Stairs goes, you could use Nix to pinch hit. Opens up an outfield spot from time to time.

I'm not saying they'll do it, but Nix can tattoo a ball.

But Ankiel doesn't have to play everyday.

He was doing pretty darn well every day so far, but he likely will cool off on the DL.

Off topic again, SYRACUSE SUCKS!

Chiefs score 3 runs in the top of the 11th...give up 4 runs in the bottom of the 11th and lose 6-5.
