We have Gio, Jordan and Stephen, obviously, for the next 2 years. We have Detwiler and Taylor Jordan for at least two years. We have Giolito, Karns and Cole who are likely tracked ahead of Solis in the long-term plans.

Sorry, he's just not a starter for this team, or at least not someone who gets in the mix before 2016 or by accident/injury.

Bring him up, let him throw a couple innings at a time in low leverage situations, let him handle some long man duties. Next year if there's a better plan then send him to AAA to get stretched out again.

If Rizzo thinks he can contribute in the pen, bring him up. I'm not interested in protecting the long-term interests of a 4th/5th starter type who's like 7th down the list of guys to fill that role on this team.
