Terrible.  Absolutely terrible.  Assist to the ump for giving wild Hanrahan several close calls.

there was about 4 or 5 balls he called strikes in that last inning.

Since when do bad pitchers with poor control get every close pitch called for a strike? Hell, some of those pitches were way off

Back under .500, now time for a winless homestand to cap it off.

Both games where we've had a 9th inning rally going have ended on questionable called third strikes by the same umpiring crew.

GAME OVER.  WE LOSE.

On the bright side, I was expecting the game to end with the Nationals player on 1B being called out by the 1B ump for getting back to 1B - with NO throw at all from the Pirates' pitcher Hanrahan to 1B.

The Muts don't like to win.

though they have won four in a row.  And we are facing Chris Young and his sub-2 ERA tomorrow night.
