No Trevor Gott thread??  I'm adding.  I "think" he still qualifies as a prospect.

53+ IP in majors over 2015 & 2016, therefore does not qualify.

Adding Austin Adams, who may be the next reliever in line for a call-up.

having had 130 at bats in the majors, Wilmer Difo has graduated from status as a prospect.  His FTP thread is closed. Congrats Wilmer!

Similarly, AJ Cole has thrown 53+ innings and moves on from "prospect" status.

Section 214 has spotted a round 34 bonus baby, Tyler Watson, as being thread-worthy.  Pitcher at Hagerstown.

Added Wil Crowe.

If you started a thread, then please update the news in the thread if Sickels has anything on your prospect.  His system ranking for the Nats is out.

Added Reid Schaller (thanks Imref), and Soto passes rookie status limit so thread is locked and moves on to the former prospect thread.

Instructional League roster announced. It’s extra grooming for the most promising of the youngest players and prospects.  If there’s a number, that’s the player’s rank in our farm system. These are mostly Doubledays, Suns and PNats, plus guys recently acquired by trade.

They will play a few games against other clubs and if you’re in the West Palm area, you can go watch (I think it’s free, just walk up, but BYO food and drink since nothing will be open).

https://www.mlb.com/news/nats-instructional-league-roster-schedule/c-294725560

PITCHERS: Joan Adon, RHP; Tomas Alastre, RHP (No. 24); Elvis Alvarado, RHP; Joan Baez, RHP; Frankie Bartow, RHP; James Bourque, RHP (No. 18); Tim Cate, LHP (No. 9); Jacob Condra-Bogan, RHP; Wil Crowe, RHP (No. 5); Chandler Day, RHP; Mason Denaburg, RHP (No. 4); Aaron Fletcher, LHP; Jhonatan German, RHP; Niomar Gomez, RHP; Pedro Gonzales, RHP; Angel Guillen, RHP; Brigham Hill, RHP (No. 28); Jake Irvin, RHP (No. 19); Andrew Istler, RHP; Kyle Johnston, RHP (No. 21); Andrew Karp, RHP; Francys Peguero, RHP; Malvin Pena, RHP; Jeremy McKinney, RHP; Nick Raquet, LHP (No. 17); Carlos Romero, RHP; Seth Romero, LHP (No. 6); Reid Schaller, RHP (No. 20); Jackson Stoeckinger, LHP; Felix Taveras, RHP; Carson Teel, LHP; Jackson Tetreault, RHP (No. 26); Rodney Theophile, RHP

CATCHERS: Adalberto Carrillo, Tyler Cropley, Geraldi Diaz, Alex Dunlap, Alejandro Flores, Israel Pineda, Wilmer Perez, Jackson Reetz, Onix Vega

INFIELDERS: Yasel Antuna, SS/3B (No. 8. ); Jamori Blash, 1B; Blake Chisolm, 1B; Leandro Emiliani, 1B; Anderson Franco, 1B; Cole Freeman, 2B; Luis Garcia, SS/3B (No. 3); KJ Harrison, 1B/C (No. 30); Gilbert Lara, 3B; Wilfrido Matos, SS; Omar Meregildo, 3B; Andruw Monasterio, 2B; Juan Pascal, SS; Jose Sanchez, SS/2B/3B (No. 15); Carson Shaddy, 2B

OUTFIELDERS: Andry Arias, Gage Canning (No. 12), Justin Connell, Jeremy De La Rosa, Ricardo Mendez, Pablo O'Connor, Jacob Rhinesmith, Caldioli Sanfler, Armond Upshaw, Cody Wilson

Reetz had a good second half with Potomac and Carson Shaddy destroyed many baseballs with Auburn, so they’re my two Under The Radar dudes.

we probably should start an FTP thread  on Denaburg and Cate.  I think we have one on Crowe, Romero, and Antuna.  Any of  the others you like?

May as well unlock guys who were not on the 25 man  roster on 8/31 and have not yet made the 2019 25 man roster.  Anyone else fit that who is rookie-eligible?

From
Mlb.com

Nationals: Sterling Sharp, RHP (No. 8) -- 7 IP, 5 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 4 K (Double-A Harrisburg); Jake Irvin, RHP (No. 16) -- 6 IP, 3 H, 1 R (0 ER), 1 BB, 6 K (Class A Hagerstown); Jackson Tetreault, RHP (No. 26) -- 6 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 5 K (Class A Advanced Potomac)
Sharp needed to throw just 67 pitches (49 strikeouts) to complete seven scoreless en route to his second win in three starts for the Senators. One of the top groundball artists in the Minors, he used his heavy sinker to induce 12 groundouts in the outing. Irvin took the loss for Hagerstown even though he allowed an unearned run on three hits over six innings. He’s given up one earned run over his last 10 2/3 innings after being tagged for four earned runs and eight hits in his season debut. Last but not least, Tetreault lowered his Carolina League ERA to 1.13 with his scoreless start for the P-Nats. The 2017 seventh-rounder has been sharp so far this season, allowing one or fewer earned runs in his first two starts before Wednesday’s gem.
