agreed.  i don't think he's worth a starting spot down the road - maybe not even bench spot - but i'd like to see what he can do, because we know what cora/hairston can/can't.  apparently eckstein tweaked the way bixler has his hands lined up on the bat in spring, seems like it's working.

didnt know where to ask this question, but has there been anything new on whether or not Zimmerman will be coming on the DL on time?

he's going to be re-evaluated when they come back home.  so he won't be ready by the mets series, hopefully by late weekend or the series after.

i'm surprised we've played this well without him.

Wouldn't it be an actual offensive upgrade to let our pitchers hit?

Desmond IS the wife. It's outrageous that the Nats have continued to start a pregnant woman at SS.

You cranky today?    Bad enough you had to take a swipe at Ben, but Ian?    The man's in labor.   :poke:

Harrison, Rodriguez and Cora has 1 for 12 written all over it.

What does it take to get a roster with 25 good players on it???

I take that back. You don't need a roster with 25 good players on (see Pete Orr on the Philies) but you top players have to be good enough to make up for the deficiencies of your 23, 24, 25th players.  So the question should be, how do you get enough top flight players to carry the team and make the 23, 24 and 25th players no so relevant.

I don't understand Pudge's starts every other game.    What's the plan?
