There are pitchers in the majors who have found success at 85, but very few of them are high strikeout guys. The only one I can think of pitching right now is Marcum, and his fastball is a good two mph faster, and started out closer to 90. That said, I think the low walk rate might carry over, and I definitely think he ought to be given a shot so we can see what he can do at the major league level.
