No. Balester is a better pitcher than Broderick and Gaudin (his stats have shown that). Oh no, he's having a rough outing!

This.

Yes, Gaudin. Don't know about Broderick.  We haven't seen him enough.

Liked what I saw today... He's my hands-down pick for Nats Player of the Game.

Why does Doug Slaten lead this staff in appearances?

I guess I was just taking out my frustrations...Bally did good last night, and I really do want him to succeed.  We'll see...

Because he only has to face a hitter or two a night. His arm shouldn't get tired on that type of schedule.

And he's a lefty who's usually reliable.

We'll also have been shut out three times this season, which also probably leads MLB.

He did, but it won't matter. The Nats offense is struggling (obviously) so why does  Sludge start 2 of 3 games? Is Flores even on the team?

let's sweep the buccos.

p.s. at least we haven't been swept yet this year.  9-9 after 18 ... let's get the bucs.

I admire your taking responsibility Bally, but the offense could've tried scoring a couple of runs against Kyle freaking Lohse.

Man, been in meetings at work and then this...? Thats why they play 162 games and relievers get 50 to 100 innings to pitch in.

Tell Bally it's not all his fault, but he did suck today.

So has everyone who wanted to see Ballestar so bad seen enough of him now?

He has a fanclub here that will never see enough of him no matter how bad he pitches.

MASN makes him wear a C0CK RING during Cards games

Yes, Gaudin. Don't know about Broderick.  We haven't seen him enough.

It still entitles that Balester is a better pitcher [in the majors for now] and should be given more of a chance than Broderick. Broderick was brought up here because of, what seems to be, his options (or whatever). If that's the case, having him pitch up here is a greater risk since we do not have anything to fall back on except for one great year in AA. Balester has pitched very well in the MAJORS! I'm just saying that not having Balester up was a dumb move from the beginning. It's useless to freak out over this game pitched by Balester because we at least have the stats to look back on to see that a game like this is unusual. Plus he gave up a homerun to Pujols. That's not the same thing as giving up a homerun to Punto or some other random nobody (but it is the same outcome :?). Unless he continues to stink it up, I am not going to call for his head. I am merely saying that Balesters freak out period isn't here yet and that this was just a bad outing by a decent pitcher.

for the record: I think Broderick has been pitching well as of late so I am fine with him for a bit.
