I can't stand the fool.

That's all I have to say about him.

The cooler, funnier half of the Nats' radio team (although our radio team is so awesome people will disagree with me for totally valid reasons - just my preference)

lol, he looks way nerdier but he comes up with really awesome references

I kinda hear you on that.  But we would have a much better chance of being 10-7 tonight if Riggleman hadn't mismanaged the pitchers badly.  I just hope JZimm can go deep because we could really use it.

And the White Sox are moving a "struggling" Adam Dunn to #5 in the order.

Ray Knight just said Lannan is going to be a 15 game winner.

What the hell is he smoking?

so if we end up pitching gaudin/broderick/slaten/balester and they get shelled and we lose that first game ... who do we blame then?

riggleman just said bally/broderick/slaten/burnett are available for 2nd game.

i'm just glad we won the first one.

Are there more storms in the forecast for tonight in St. Louis? I'd love to see Bob Carpenter get swept away by a tornado...

as manny acta would say, he battled today, but lannan didn't really help us out.  he got plenty of run support yet continued to nibble.  three walks, seven hits in only five innings does not help your team ... we have a doubleheader.  we needed him to go six.  or at least go deeper into the sixth with less pitches.

They're good together.  Either on their own or with someone else I think would be not as good.

Yeah, they have a really satisfying blend. They seem to actually like each other, too.

Just got home, anyone mention we're a game out of first?  That 3rd inning was a beaut, huh?  Still in the 5th on the DVR, so the Cards haven't made their apparent comeback yet.  Should I just turn it off now and pretend it never got close?

Don't really understand the bob carpenter hate, he's a very decent play by play announcer...... you can see his excitement when Burnett turned that double play.

Me neither.  I think he always looks worse because he has never been given a good cohost to work with.

Tonight's going to be tough, as I have both Jaime Garcia and Jordan Zimmermann on my fantasy team.  I'm hoping for a 1-0 Nationals win!

Nats win. Last 10 outs from Clippard, Burnett, Storen. I believe Joey Eischen is available for the nightcap.

For a guy who was just brought over from Boston, Adam Kilgore has an impressive memory for Nationals history.

It's not "hate".   It's his Cardinal bias which is understandable.   I guess the adage "where you stand depends or where you sit" is in play.   His natural "excitement" is with the Cardinals.    His Nats' "excitement" seems ... almost ... forced.   It's like all of a sudden he remembers who's paying him.
