ESPN was talking to some lawyer and he said Bonds would probably get home confinement for a few months instead of going to prison.

Bob Costas is fired up.

Imagine this:  with Costas' voice behind it.  That was just on MLB Network.

It's a confusing result.  He was not found guilty of perjury - which was the big charge against him.  Here's a decent explanation:  http://hardballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/04/13/breaking-barry-bonds-guilty-of-obstruction-of-justice-but-not-perjury-which-makes-no-sense-at-all/

And he walks.  Great waste of taxpayer money and time.  Can't wait to see Clemens do the same later this year.

wow apparently there was one holdout juror - otherwise they would gotten more than that one guilty verdict.

the government may keep going with this (and waste more taxpayer money).

That IRS agent must have had the biggest hard-on ever for Bonds.  Makes you wonder if he freaked his wife or something.

Oh you know he will.  How much jail time did he do again?  Bonds is a scumbag but he's got to give him some major cash to not snitch on him.

Jury tampering made for some of the best Sopranos episodes, not to mention a heck of a Gotti trial.

Gotti was an expert at jury tampering. He was brilliant enough to realize that 5 years for jury tampering was enough of a risk rather than life in prison.
