I'M SURE RAMOS WOULD NOT HAVE DONE ANY BETTER? RIGHT?

freakING SWING.

Sorry for flipping out. False hope.

2 out of the 3 pitches to Pudge were balls.

No reason for Pudge or Matt Stairs to be on this team. let Flores be the backup, and bring someone else up to replace Stairs.

Pudge should not start again.

Haha, I like that.  Halladay dropping an F-bomb after the win.  He doesn't like that we made him cut it so close.

Pathetic at-bats by Pudge and Stairs combined with some pretty sketchy strike calls ends this one :?

A hell of a lot closer than I thought this game would be though.  Gotta tip the cap to Halladay.

I love Pudge

Why?  He's never been that great.  His whole career is what it was due to the use of steroids.

Hell of a better loss than it would have been without that rally.

The rally made it sting more!

seriously, there is absolutely no reason for matt stairs to be eating up a roster spot if he is going to stand there and take 3 strikes. I realize his veteran presence and all that, but that spot right there was WHY HE IS ON THE TEAM. Brutal.

I would have rather seen Stairs hit into a DP to end it. freaking awful, anyone can go up there and stand and take 3 pitches right down the middle.

This team is dumb as freak.

So, how was that to end the game, 6 strikes looking? I'm pretty sure I've never seen that before...

Pudge's 2nd strike was swinging.

That was a good ending, but it was blown by an umpire who obviously needs some more experience and was probably just caught up in the moment.  Maybe he wanted to watch the end of the Caps-Rangers game.  Oh well.  Hopefully Joe Torre and company take notice.  Otherwise, we'll get to a struggling Cliff Lee tomorrow night...
