Marquis sucks. And so did Gorzelanny yesterday. Way too many pitches left up in the zone.

Doesn't help that the Nats can't get a hit off a guy throwing slower than Livan.

yeah the walk hurt.  but he sawed the guy's bat off.  those don't go for hits very often.

marquis has been good today.  i'll take this performance every time from him.  that bats need to wake up, though.

FP was right though, if it's not up, it's a weak grounder.  He left the ball up and even though he broke the bat, he was able to get enough of it to get it to the OF.

Nice FPS (First Pitch Swing) by Ankiel.  Guess it's better than a strike out.

The offense is much more putrid in this game so far than Marquis has been.

How many pop-ups in foul territory is that today?  Seems like it's been a ton of them.

yeah that's true.  and davis is a decent hitter.  but it's not like that ball was hammered.  there have been a lot of weakly hit balls go for hits today against marquis.  marquis was hasn't been the reason we're not winning today.

the whole damn team is asleep at the plate.
