if that's the case, it's time to call up marrero.
I'm just speculating.  LaRoche said he doesn't anticipate a DL stint, but if days off like this start becoming a pattern, it might not be a bad idea.

It's put up or shut up time for CM.

PS Ramos is now known as Rambot, the hitting machine.

yeah i mean he smoked that pitch in florida, so i can't imagine the injury is hurting his hitting.

but if he were to see DL time, I'd want Marrero up.  I couldn't stand to see Nix/Hairston/etc playing everyday in his absence.

Yeah. I wouldn't mind Chris up here the way he was playing in ST and getting some major league at bats.

Freaking midnight games. Nationals, please never play night games on the west coast. Or if you do, send them to extra innings and I can watch them when I wake up!

he just got to AAA, plus I'm sure the team would like to wait until the Super 2 deadline before calling him up

How about rain delays?  Last night's Dodgers-Padres game was finally suspended at 1:30 a.m. Pacific Time in the 9th inning after four separate rain delays!

And Morse to cleanup.  Hopefully he can bust out of his slump tonight.

Also, is it just me, or is Burnett's delivery wicked?

HAHAHA.  Quite a turnout tonight.  You can actually hear individual boos for Werth.

this guy killed us in the spring training start (when JZ got shelled) ... so hopefully we get our payback just like JZ did yesterday.

Seriously, big strike zone for this dude already. Hope Gorzelanny can take advantage.

Lead off walks should equal $10k fine.
